Does the Philippines government regulate herbal drugs? Does medical insurance cover these herbals?

I am trying to find out how other country's regulate dietary supplements and tradional chinese medicine (TCM). Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi EP, on one of the policies declared by the Public Health Ministry is the revitalization of. the use of herbal medicines through scientifically proven methods. The Ministry has embarked on a project to promote single herbal plants for their curative and preventive effects.

Another reason cited by the Ministry for the herb revitalization programmed is that there is a growing concern that the Govern­ment Pharmaceutical Organization, the main supplier of standard drugs to the primary ,health care project, will not be able to produce required level of household drugs to meet demand in the wake of the large scale health services coverage.

The Ministry encourages villagers to grow and use herbs for treatment. In other words yes, the Philippines government regulate herbal drugs. Yes, for Filipino man there is
hospitalization insurancea and government program medical insurance http://www.philhealth.gov.ph/

The Philippines has enacted a Biological and Genetic Resources, Order on Prospecting (EO No 247, 1995) to regulate cooperation between foreign and local scientists.
