Acupuncture is one of the oldest healing arts known to man, based on a system of merideans throughout the body. Each meridean is a center of energy corresponding to different parts of your body. Acupuncturists place a needle, or use a pressure in this area to allow the normal flow in and out of this area to be uninterrupted. Sounds a bit hokey I know, but the crazy part is that merideans have actually been visualized now on some of the more powerful MRI machines, so if the 3000 years of helping people isn't enough (and I was a bit skeptical of it as well) then know that merideans have been seen and do exist.
