Unfortunately in babies, they don't have the lung capacity to actually cough out the mucous so they either vomit or they swallow it. The only thing you can do to help with it is to use a bulb suction and try to suck out as much mucous as you can out of her nose. Make sure she's drinking a lot of fluids (to thin out the secretions) and keep a humidifier in her room at night. Hope she feels better :)
