Can Silver in the form of a spoon left in the mouth be an effective antiseptic or can cure ailments ?

Silver Jugs are used in India to steralise water and Colodial Silver is all the go at the moment . I dont think however that enough silver would come of a spoon to effect a cure . Naturally Silver was used because it had a tendency to be sterile . How modern man learned this However I do not hazard a guess .
