5 HTP Dosage?!

5 HTP Dosage?

I know the normal nightime dosage for 5-HTP is 50-100 milligrams. Does anyone know if 150-200 milligrams is too much? If it IS too much, what would the side effects be?

The reason for my question is in regard to insomnia.


Answers:

In Dr. Oz's book, "YOU on a Diet" he points out that some people take 300mg daily for wieght loss. So I would imagine that much would be safe so 150 to 200 mg should be fine. I take 150 a day without any problems. A little more sedate maybe but otherwise fine.
