First time taking valium effects?

taking 10 mg of valium pre surgery locally in docs office for an eye surgery. my question is ive never taken valium before how calm will this make me feel? he gave me prescription for 5 5mg pills and told me to pop 2 before surgery. will this be good enough?

I had some for minor surgery - to me, it felt like I'd had a couple of vodkas! But if you're a non-drinker - the effects would be like feeling very laid back, feeling quite happy and calm and possibly a little sleepy. 10 mg should be enough alright - good luck with your surgery.
