Has anyone..?

been to a Chinese medical centre, for accupuncture or massage and found it helps? I am thinking of giving it a try.

I've had acupuncture a couple of times - firstly for a frozen shoulder which was so painful. The doctor only gave me painkillers and said it would take a couple of days to get better but it felt easier, immediately, after one acupuncture treatment and it was cured after the second.
Then I got shingles, which is a variant of the chicken pox virus and which can be extremely painful and take months to heal. I saw my doctor first who confirmed it as shingles and said I had to take life very very easy because if it blew up into full shingles I'd be in bed for a week and off work for a month. So I went straight to the Chinese doctor for an acupuncture treatment. She told me to come on four successive days for four treatments, which I did. Guess what? The shingles spots went down after seven days and it never did turn into the full virus. I don't know if that would have happened naturally but I'm sure glad that I saw the Chinese doctor anyway as i saved myself a lot of suffering.
I'd suggest giving it a try, see how you get on. There's a lot to be said for conventional medicine but acupuncture and alternative therapies do have their place and can be very effective.
