My ears hurt all the time.?!

Question:

My ears hurt all the time.?

My ears hurt me all the time. When I get them checked the doctor always says he sees scarring but no current infection. I've had this problem for many years. Scarring but no infection. I have troubles hearing, too. It seems to go hand in hand with my sinus problems. Everything is swelled up. Is there any herbal treatments that I can use? LIke I said, no infection but always scarring and swelling and pain. This has been going on since I was a child overseas, after a horrible inner ear infection in both ears and a bout of meningitis. All I am offered are steroids and pain-killers.

Answers:

Sounds to me like your Eustachion tubes (narrow tubes that connect the ear to the back of the throat) may be blocked. This often goes hand-in-hand with congested sinuses. Onions and garlic can help, as can drinking lots of water to thin the mucus.
Also, trying opening your mouth as wide as you can and pushing your thumbs, with moderate pressure, from just in front of your ears, down to the angle of your jaw. Hope it helps.
