Cold brewing green tea?!

Question:

Cold brewing green tea?

Do you get the same health benefits of green tea if you use a cold brew method?

Answers:

As far as I can see, and in my personal opinion, I believe they would be the same. The same nutrients would still be in the tea. If the water still turns green, the tea would still be in there. Who knows, maybe it's better for you that way because it isn't heated...

Here's a website below that says the benefits are the same...the second website is a blog. About 1/3 of the way down, a guy from japan says they sell cold iced teas all over in Japan (without additives, unlike North America).

I also found a 3rd site that says never to brew it hot and then drink it iced, because of oxidization. They recommend using twice the amount of tea and brewing it cold.

I think any way you drink it, it is beneficial, as long as you drink it. Good luck!
