Does st johns wort actually work? seems to good to be true?!

Question:

Does st johns wort actually work? seems to good to be true?

im a 17 yr old kid who has bene going throuhg some roughtimes in my head lately. someone suggested before i go on anti depressents that i should try st johns wort, its this natural stuff. has anyone tried it that can vouch for it?

Answers:

it works because there is a phytoneutrient in there... a chemical (grown in nature) called a Xanthone. There are are around 200 of them in nature. Each of them are unique and are specific to a certain health function.

unfortuneately, only several plants that contain xanthones are actually consumable. (many plants have xanthones but are located in roots or the bark, which are not consumable).

St. John's Wort is one plant that actually contains one of these xanthones. That Xanthone from SJW is one that is targeted toward chemical imbalance that is in the head, which is also the same targeting by anti depressants.

Another botanical, which actually a tropically / eastern grown fruit called a mangosteen fruit.
this fruit as not 1, or 10, or 20, but so far 43 different xanthones have been discovered in this botanical. Various health issues have been targeted for hundreds of years.

natives of the lands where mangosteen (NOT related to the mango) grew found most results from the outer peel, or the pericarp, of the fruit. Since it was like a orange peel, you counldn't just "bite in to it", so they would grind it into a tea.

They have created a juice that actually incorporates the rind, (but actually tastes WONDERFUL) and created a patient on it.

To this date, many other band-wagoners have also created their own mangosteen juice, but due to patient, there is ONLY ONE (the original) brand that uses the ENTIRE fruit, even the pericarp, where most of the Xanthones are found (including the one found in St. Johns Wart.

For testimonies on different health issues go to http://www.mangosteenexperiences.com/ind... also go half way down to find some of the research too.
