Yunnan Baiyao, or "white medicinal powder", was developed by Qu Huanzhang, a folk doctor from Kunming, in Yunnan, China. It was first called Baibaodan and later renamed Yunnan Baiyao. It is used to treat hemorrhage (bleeding) and wounds and bruises, and invigorates the circulation of blood. It is a proprietary blend of about 10 herbs.
