Answers:

Human Growth Hormone is an important and powerful hormone which can produce side effects if taken incorrectly (extremely high doses for prolonged time). It is not, however, a dangerous hormone to take, if you take it correctly and monitor the results correctly.

commonly known side effects are:

# retention of water or edema
this is not a serious side effect and disappears if the dosage is lowered or after the body adjusts to the increase in growth hormone.

# Carpal tunnel syndrome
is a tingling sensation in your palms and fingers (feels like your fingers are falling asleep). Nerves from your fingers pass trough the carpal tunnel which gets narrower due to water retention and new growth. The tunnel adapts with time, but before it has time to do so, HGH users may experience the carpal syndrome. It may happen in beginning 2 or 3 HGH cycles, after that it doesn't occur again. This symptom is preventable by monitoring the result of taking growth hormone, and is normally reversible by discontinuing or lowering the dose being taken.

# acromegaly or gigantism
is the worst possible side effect which is an unnatural growth of bone mass and thickening of the skin which is caused by a great excess in growth hormone. Acromegaly occurs naturally in persons that have a pituitary tumor that causes them to release growth hormone without control. With some common sence it should be impossible to get acromegaly from purposely taking an excess of growth hormone by sub-cutaneous injection. Not only is it necessary to take blood tests to monitor results, it is also foolish to take a dose much above what has become standard. At the start of a rHGH program people usually take:

- 4IU per day (2IU in the morning and 2IU in late afternoon) for bodybuilding purposes
- 2IU per day for anti aging purposes
- 8IU per day to treat severe burns, cuts, bone damage (shor period of time)
- doctor and blood tests determine the dose for any other purpose
