How effective/safe has St. John's Wort been when combined with other prescriptio!
Question:
How effective/safe has St. John's Wort been when combined with other prescription meds?
Basically I would be most interested in finding out if St. John's Wort is a SSRI or MAO inhibitor type of acting herb...research has been widely split from what I was able to uncover, with most uncertain of it's mechanism of action. Any insightful answers with facts/studies would be greatly appreciated.

St. John's Wort is a mood stabilizer and should not be used with anti-depressants or anxiety medications. It should also not be taken with any medications which are contraindicated while taking anti-depressants or anxiety medications.
