My 3 year olds doctor gave him this medicine dextroamphetamine 5mg because he is 2 hyper help plz.?

i tried dextroamphetamine 5mg the last 3 days but i stoped it because my childs behavior got worst now he is super hyper hits bites runs he even barfed what should i do he is a 3 year old

Most 3 year olds I know are hyper, compared to the rest of us. Before I used amphetamines with mine, I think I would try some other forms of behavior management. 3 year olds are not exactly famous for self control, but they are known for things like biting and hitting, and running in circles around you. They can very easily get out of control of themselves, and lack the skills to get things back in control. Perhaps your baby simply needs a little more room and a little more physical activity, and more direction for the energy. They don't have long attention spans, and if they get bored they get into mischief and can be a downright handful. There's nothing saying you can't highly discourage bad behavior with a little parental persuasion either. Time out in a quiet corner, holding on the lap and having a talk, even a swat to a tush to get his attention if needed. I'm not talking spanking, beating or any other physical damaging things- I'm talking a noisy swat to a padded behind with a cupped hand, one swat to get attention if needed. It's up to you to provide the no nonsense control, as your three year old doesn't have that skill yet and has to learn it from you. If you need to, get help from a child psychologist, or preschool teacher, or ask a different pediatrician for advice. You child sounds like a normal 3 year old, out of control and in need of some parental interference more than the drugs.
