I can't get to sleep!?!


Question:

I can't get to sleep!?

is there any foods i can eat to get me to sleep. or any medicin i can buy?


Answers:

There are over the counter herbs that are claimed to help insomnia. They are: chamomile (tea), reishi mushrooms,hops, valerian, skullcap, lemon balm, St John's war, kava kava and ginseng.

These vitamins/nutrients also help: calcium, magnesium, B vitamins.

It also helps to have a high protein snack before going to bed
and/or a yougurt. Avoid alcohol, caffeine and highly sugared process foods.

There are also over the counter sleep remedies as well as pain relievers like excedrin pm etc that any drug store would carry.

There are techniques for insomniacs that are recommended.
For instance, reading or listening to calming music right before bed. Aromatic baths, hydrotherapy and massage are also recommended. Be sure not to nap during the day...if you must not for more than 30 minutes. Only use the bed for sleeping. Get up at the same time every day no matter when you fall asleep. Build up sleep time. If you only sleep for 5 hours then go to bed 5 hours before you must get up. No matter how tired you feel maintain that schedule for a week before you add time to it.

If all else fail there are prescriptions that are non habit forming such as ambien or lunestra that many swear by.
