What helps for OBSESSIVE thoughts?

What helps for racing, obsessive thoughts. Are there natural pills or alternative therapies?
They usually involve how I could have handled the situation better, or worse yet how can I get revenge on the other party. They seem to consume me in the daytime and if they occur when I am with someone-- someone may ask a question or just converse and I don't answer them right away-- I am totally wrapped up in the thought or thoughts. Sometimes they are so bad, that I will be doing something and all of a sudden, I will start in a mumbling voice --utter words regarding what actions I might do or just inaudible mumbling. It seems that one or more of my brothers had the same problem.... These thoughts definitely, do not lead to compulsive behavior as far as I am aware!

1st of all u gotta have a lot of self patience esp. in the beginning....I highly suggest YOGA as a super relaxation and mental health solution to calm urself down a bit. Try to practice this atleast twice per wk. for awhile, then maintaining ur practice once a wk.
I think if your experiencing extreme anxiety, go for the meds, see a doc.
(I'm no doctor, however my observation is that u'd benefit from meds for awhile until u learn some self relaxation methods---also try hypnosis!!)......relaxing music, classical will sooth ur soul
