Is herbal treatment legal?!

Question:

Is herbal treatment legal?

I have been reading a lot lately about herbal cures for cancer, is it legal to treat people for cancer with herbs?

Answers:

Yes and no. It is not legal to practice medicine without a license, or make unsubstantiated health claims. The FDA tries to prosecute these people, but they don't have enough funding to keep after them.

A competent adult can do whatever he or she likes about health treatment, however. Personally, I like to have proof that something works before I try it, so I go into the scientific literature.
