I have a hard time swallowing pills?
i need to take a caplet for my pain. i don't have pudding, ice cream, or apple sauce to use. i only swallowed a small pill in my entire life. yeah i know i could smash it and then add it to water but i want to know how to really swallow pills. i tried with a big gulp of water and tilting my head back with the pill. i could swallow candy like ice breakers but sadly not with pills.

Well. The best thing to use IS applesauce or pudding. But if you don't have either of those you should find another similar substance. Maybe olive oil? It won't taste great but it'll get it down. Always place the pill on the back of your tongue, and you can tilt your head back or not, usually experimentation is the best way to find out what works best for you. If you don't have any olive oil, maybe... melted butter. I'm just trying to think of something that is in most houses. I heard jello works really well too.
Goodluck. Alot of people say that big pills are the hardest to swallow, but I find the tiny ones difficult.
