Anyone know what side effects solpadol have?
i used to take 2 solpadol each morning to ease joint pain.. they made me feel high for about half an hour i admit it felt good but i got very very hungry after about 6-8 hours and needed to eat lots .. i stopped taking the solpadol.. the hunger stopped does anyone know why or has this happened to you ? i believe solpadol are addictive ..and i struggled to come off them ... anyone feel the same ???

Co analgesics are considered by prescribing experts to be poor choices, though they are both prescribed and purchased in massive quantities.
Sopadol is:
Paracetamol- a very respectable pain killer, safe if taken in no more than the recommended doses-maximum 8x 500mgs in 24 hours.

Codeine a weak opiate. The codeine adds 5% to the analgesic (pain killing) strength. However it is addictive (now included in the package advice sheet,produces constipation and, particularly if used chronically, produces codeine headache, ( so you take some more to get rid of the headache!) and abdominal pain.
By adding the codeine to the paracetamol detractors like me would argue that the risk benefit ratio is altered in favour of risk, making the use unjustified.
