Should you stop taking probiotics if you are put on a antibiotic for infection?!

Question:

Should you stop taking probiotics if you are put on a antibiotic for infection?

I take probiotics daily and the doc put me on an antibiotic for an infection. Should I continue to use my probiotics while on the antibiotic?

Answers:

No, your just wasting your money, especially if your buying good quality probiotic that are bacteria based. You are just killing off the good stuff with the antibiotic while they work on the initial infection.

While you are taking antibiotics, replace bacteria-based probiotic with yeast-based probiotic formula which is not killed off by the antibiotic. Sarcomyces Boulardi is a beneficial yeast-based probiotic formula which will fill-in the real estate in your gut while your good bacteria is being killed off by the antibiotics. After your last day of antibiotics, switch back to your bacteria based probiotic.

Sarcomyces Boulardi is also effective in mitigating antibiotic induced diarrhea.
