Vitamins are good and bad. They're good because as everyone else has said they supplement our bodies with vitamins and minerals that we can't always get from our food. But that certainly does NOT mean that we do not get any from eating foods... you have to be eating the RIGHT foods. Our diets needs a good supply of rich greens, fresh fruits, and vegetables, whole grains, and plenty of water.

Vitamins and multi-vitamins bring about the idea that we can all get a days' worth of vitamins and minerals in a daily pill. Thus leading our diets further from the greens, fruits, and vegetables we need. Obtaining vitamins and minerals straight from the food source (fresh) is much more beneficial than a man-made, processed little pill.

Please don't get the wrong idea that I am against vitamins... b/c I am all for them. But please do not depend on them as your source of vital nutrients. There is no replacement.

Vitamins and minerals in our diets paired with good eating habits and daily exercise will help keep our bodies in shape, give us more energy and vitality, and add a few more years to our lives.
