This is a question for anyone who's' a nutrientist or doctor.?!

Question:

This is a question for anyone who's' a nutrientist or doctor.?

I like to juice veggies and drink about 32oz daily and would like to know if this is over doing it. I would also like to know if fresh carrot juice can be bad for the liver because of the high beta carotene. Beet juice, what amount is safe to drink, I read that only 1oz and not to drink it everyday is that good information.

Answers:

You're fine. There are double-blind studies showing that while very high doses of Vitamin A can be hard on your liver (and it takes a lot), there is no upper safety limit on beta carotene.

Beet juice contains some other phytochemicals that can have funny effects if you get too much--just like too much garlic can thin your blood too much (though again, it takes a lot). 1oz is a good addition to any cocktail you're making.

The most important thing is variety. Your body is designed to need all kinds of nutrients. Your body is to give them to yourself. Your cells will decide what to do with them. Blood and skin tests are a good way to sell products but they are nearly useless in diagnosing anything other than an acute nutrient deficiency.
