Is it possible for RA to become Osteoarthritis?!

Question:

Is it possible for RA to become Osteoarthritis?

Answers:

RA and Osteo are BOTH types of arthritus... they are not interchangeable... HOWEVER... I do believe many people that are told they have Osteo actually have RA... RA is the disfiguring arthritis... it completely eats joints away... is extrodinarily painful... and can invade soft tissue's of the body...

Osteo.. is more normal after an injury to a joint... a broken bone.. or excessive wear to a joint.. runners usually end up with osteo in their knee's....

With that said.. it is better to talk to your Doc... if you have RA.. it will show up in blood work..<normally but not always> 2 test's that should be run for RA are the RA factor and the Sedimentation rate... both can be indicators....

If I had to make a choice between the 2 believe me.. I would be hoping for Osteo....

Good luck
