Are petuli oil and patchouli oil the same thing?
Why the two different spellings?
Answers:
I haven't actually come accross "petuli", but I have seen some weird spellings of "patchouli" over the years. I think people often spell the way the word sounds.
Best way to make sure you are getting true patchouli essential oil (however you want to spell it!) is to look for the botanical or latin name which is "pogostemon cablin". The spelling of that doesn't change.
