What foods aid in combating cfs (chronic fatigue syndrome) by boosting energy?!

Question:

What foods aid in combating cfs (chronic fatigue syndrome) by boosting energy?

I want to stop drinking coffee

Answers:

I have CFS, and here are some things I find helpful. :-)

Anything with spirulina such as Odwalla's Superfood juice (it's kind of expensive and it looks weird cos it's green, but it tastes good and it's worth it). There's also one called Green Goddess that's yummy but I can't remember who makes it. There's a protein shake powder called Spirutein that my doctor recommended, the vanilla and tropical flavors are good mixed with soy milk (especially Silk chocolate soy milk). The vanilla is also really good in orange juice, tastes like a creamsicle (though it turns a little green from the spirulina). It doesn't work well in water and I haven't tried cows milk. Doc said to have two shakes a day, but I usually just have a few a week so the container lasts quite a while.

When I stopped drinking caffeine I replaced it with E'mergen-C, which is a vitamin C drink. It comes in packets of powder that you mix with water, but they don't get gritty or anything. I like the orange and raspberry flavors, both are better really cold (mix the powder before adding ice or it won't incorporate). Since it's high-dose vitamin C, you don't want to take too much. When I first got off caffeine I took two packets twice a day, but now I just drink it when I need a pick-me-up (usually a few times a week).
