Is no-flush Niacin as effective as regular Niacin in reducing cholesterol?!

Question:

Is no-flush Niacin as effective as regular Niacin in reducing cholesterol?

In the March 2007 issue of Mayo Clinic Women's Healthsource
a parenthetical statement regarding Niacin says (N0-flush or flush-free preparations don't affect cholesterol levels.) Are there any good scientific studies or experience to support that?

Answers:

The non flush is slightly less potent in that it has a couple of chemical sthat are designed not to alter the metabolism as strongly as regular Niacin. The side effects of both though are still very high risk, particularly with long term use. The outcome often results in eye problems with the retina (which is not repairable) and you can get a lot of things like cold and flu. It is recommended that people who use Niacin also take half an aspirin half an hour before, but then you will find the aspirin does half of the work that the Niacin is supposed to do. The only known safe heart health products are the ones from shapeworks which are endorsed by the Nobel prize winner in heart health (Dr.Lou Ignarro). These would be much more effective and safer than the Niacin. Take a look at www.myhealthabc.net and follow the link to the heart health products. You will find the things like core complex, niteworks and tri shield ae much more powerful without any nasty side effects at all.
