i been takin 'tussin for the past 3 days, n its not making me stop coughing! only nyquil works, but thats cuz it makes me sleep! does the 'tussin really work for u? is there sumthin wrong wit my body?

The active ingredient in Robitussin is guaifenesin. It opens your bronchial passageways so that your body can expel excess mucus from fighting and infection. So its not really supposed to stop the cough. It just helps it work better. So you have to treat the infecection as well. Drink lots of fluids and eat salad for a couple of days. If you still feel crappy--go to the doctor--you may need some antibiotics.
