Help when i cough my throat burns really bad?

I have had a cold for the past week and now when i cough it burn really bad and i dont kno what it is,will someone help me and tell me wat it is,and also treatmeants,im only 15 if that cares and i have asked my dad and he said take chloresptic spray but that stufff is UGGGHHHHH

You have a sore throat from post-nasal drip, caused by the cold. I agree that Cholarseptic is "ughhh", but this treatment is not great tasting, either.

Boil a cup of water with 2 tablespoons Thyme and a pinch of salt for 5 minutes. Let it cool, and keep it bottled in the fridge. Gargle with it 2x a day, once in the morning and once before bed.
