Macular degeneration treated with retinavites has anyone heard of this?

One of the reasons to have macular degeneration is belived is a dietary deficiency of carotenoids, and that is one of the ingredients contain in retinavites, among other eye specific vitamins, it won't completly solve the problem, because is a degenerative disease but it might slow its progression.People will pregresivly lose they middle vision, but theywill keep their periferic vision, so they will have problems adapting to this condition, but they won't be completly blind. Keep in mind that this is an old's people disease, normaly 50 yo or older. That is why people say "eat carrot its good for your eyes", carrots are full of carotenoids. Hope it helps! Good luck.
