Can herbal teas make one ill?!

Question:

Can herbal teas make one ill?

In what scenario?

Answers:

Herbal teas and treatments are similar to drug therapies in that if you don't need them, they may cause side effects. Or if you are allergic, intolerant, or if you don't take them with food or with sufficient fats if they are fat soluble.

I've found that some of the "cold care" teas nauseate me if I drink them first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach. If I drink them later in the day, they help.

Same with prenatal vitamins. The iron needs a heavy meal. I don't eat a heavy breakfast. I actually couldn't keep them down till my herbalist told me to take them later in the day.
