Can exercise help the production of dopamine?!

Question:

Can exercise help the production of dopamine?

can exercise help the production of dopamine? Why does the bicep region "increase size" after heavy weight lifting?

Answers:

Yes, exercise can help the production of dopamine.

Dopamine is a a brain chemical associated with addiction to cocaine, alcohol, and other drugs.

It also has a link to obesity. So exercising has 2 effects on obesity: It helps you lose weight and it stimulates the release of dopamine in the brain which could decrease the craving for food...

The biceps region increases in exercise because training the muscle in weight lifting prepares the muscle for heavy-short term exercise. This implies that the muscle has to have an energy stock of it's own, so a lot of mitochondria (little "units" which contain a lot of energy) diffuse into the muscle fibers. This causes the 'swelling' of the muscle... Bear in mind that it DOES NOT create extra muscle fibers...
