I'm looking for aromas that would help with my depression and anxiety and frequent mood swings. I'd like something to cheer me up and calm me down.

Answers:

Are you burning oil purely for fragrance, or are you burning it for aromatic healing? This is the first thing you need to know.

I always suggest pure essential oils, which are slightly more expensive. The plus is that they do not contain any artificial chemicals that would burn into your air.

It's easy to mix scents, and make your own blend. Something I like is cedarwood with rosemary. It's woodsy, and the cedarwood is an aphrodisiac for the ladies. ;) Floral scents are expensive, so if you want to use essential or absolutes, be ready.

A good, all the time smell is lavender, but not many guys dig it. It may smell too much like grandma. Try mixing it with many other oils... Lavender blends well with a lot! (It's also cheap!) Natural food stores sell great brands of essential oils, and pre-made blends, too.
