Is there an economical way to make a home steam distilation for essential oils?!

Question:

Is there an economical way to make a home steam distilation for essential oils?

Answers:

There are all kinds of ways to distill Essential Oils.

Edmund Scientific used to sell a kit to distill essential oils.

Probably the best is to use the enfleurage method.

Smear lard on two small sheets of glass or plexiglass, and place the herbs on one of the sheets of glass then lay the herbs out on the lard, then place the other sheet of glass or plexiglass on top of the herbs and place then in a cool place (like the refrigerator) after 48 hours throw the herbs away, and add more herbs and place them back in the cool place.

Keep adding more herbs until the lard smells strongly of the herb.

Then scrape the lard off the sheets of glass or plexiglass and put it in the distilation kit, and add one ounce of alcohol. Distill the alcohol and lard. The alcohol will act as a carrier for the essential oil, and you stop when you have 1 ounce of solution.
