I rub a few drops of Ben Gay, Flexall or other heatrub on my temples.
Sensation tingles, maybe even burns abit, doesn't hurt though and it does take your focus off the headache.
Becareful not to get any around your eyes ... it will burn like 'heck' and hurt, eventually goes away and the eyes are fine.
