WOW. I'm amazed at how ignorant people are about health. Firstly, ear candles work wonderfully as long as you READ the intructions and use them correctly. I've used them and continue to. They are safe and very effective if you read the directions. Do not use if you have ear pain, treat a possible infection first, then by all means use the ear candles (unless you have a pre-existing ear condition). You will be pleased with the results. I do recommend cutting the candle open after and seeing how much wax is actually in your ear--you will be amazed!
Secondly, not ONLY antibiotics can help with ear infections. Many times antibiotics FAIL to kill an infection and you get more antibiotics and they kill off the good bacteria in your body and a secondary infection results. Taking garlic internally (and tons of it) and putting garlic oil in your ear (if it is infected) is great for fighting infections (not just ear infections). Don't forget good high does of vitamin C, and a 25mg dose of zinc, and plenty of water. I don't use antibiotics at all since I learned how to heal myself.
