Is there sny other caure for optical nerve damange?

i have had no recovery for past 2 years have very less vision in my right eye

Appearantly this depends on the type of nerve damage. There's 3 types, with the one there's pressure but no loss of continuity, with the other the there's a chance for recovery, with the last recovery is minimal as the connection is torn.

For the first 2 it seems you need time to heal, I've heard nerve damage can take a long time. The third type seems to be hit and miss. I think this is why they hope to be able to use stem cells for spinal cord damage, because there's no other easy fix for the damage.

So you may just have to wait for medical treatments to develop, or for it to heal on it's own if possible.

I'd say talk to your doctor and see if there's anything you can do to help slow any damage that might be happening. Also if there's a chance that you might have scar tissue in the area find out if there's anything you can take to minimize it in hopes to help healing.

Also, I've recently heard that kids who play video games have better eyesight. This is not due to their actually having better vision, but rather they develop the part of their brain that processes vision. So it seems that doing visually stimulating things may help regain some ability without having the actual improvement to the nerve itself.
