Question:

Does having a healthy immune system decrease the chances of experiencing minor aches and pains....?

..throughout the body? That is aches and pains not so obviously related to good immunity, like as in the symtoms of a cold etc.

Answers:

It can. Your immune system is reponsible for restoring, protecting and defending every cell of your body from the effects of injury and disease. This means that if you "catch something" your immune system is responsible for fighting off the bad guys. If you overwork a joint (for example), your immune system is responsible for repairing the damaged tissue.

In the case of chronic inflammation, the immune system can fall behind in its job and the result is chronic, but minor (at first) aches and pains. These are the symptoms of tissue damage in the body.

Given time, rest and proper diet, the body will take the raw materials from your diet and rebuild, and /or repair, the damaged tissue and you'll feel fine again.
