Answers:

I am sure emce is sincere.

but there are two different types of laser eye surgery.

The first was Radio Karetonomy. This was where a set of spokes was cut in the eye ball so the excessive fluid could drain out and the eye ball return to the proper shape.

This was a good idea on paper. There was one little thing the scientists overlooked. The laser cartorised (seared the edges of the incisions) and the eye was unable to heal. When the peron was under a lot of strain (lifting a heavy weight more of the fluid drained out of the eye, and your eyesight was worse than it was before the surgery.

Now lasik is a totaly different concept.

First an incision is cut in the cornea like cataract surgery, then the laser works on reshaping the lens of the eye. After the lens has been shaped; the flap is put back in place, and the cornes begins healing itself naturally.
A friend of mine had lasik, and her eyesight went from 20/200 to 20/15 (better than normal eyesight)

I have heard that the military approved Lasik eye surgery for the military four or 5 years ago.

When you consider lasik; do not look at the price. Look at the surgeons track record.

Dr Stewart Schoffner in Nashville, Tn (who did lasik for my friend had a 96 track record, 96% of his 25,000 patients their eyesight had improved so much they were able to throw their eye glasses away. Virtually all of the others had better eyesight; but still had to wear reading glasses,
