Answers:

It might be good to study yourself and notice if reflux is happening with certain food or food combinations, for example: more reflex with diary or bread. Sometimes the body produces extra acids and enzymes when it encounters foods to which it has an intolerance. Notice if this happens with raw foods, such as salads (no dressing) and fruit (fresh not canned). Usually raw foods do not cause any reflux. Nature's way of telling you to eat more of them. Bread with often cause reflux, so will processed foods (a way your body has of telling you to make a change.) There is a product called MSM which aleviates reflux instantly and helps strengthen all conective tissue, such as the tissue that holds up your esophagus and stops if from folding back on itself.
