About to start an anti-candida diet.?!

Question:

About to start an anti-candida diet.?

I have a health issue that needs addressing. I went to see a naturopath who prescribed an anti-candida diet 2 months ago. I tried it, and she tested me and apparantly the candida is really bad in my stomach. I was disheartened by the whole experience and went on a crazy binge, now I realise that I really should stick to it but am scared I will stop and start over and over. before i know it it will be mid year and I will have gone back and forth on the diet and not have achieved anything. i know its something i have to do but i am a social person and also not the most assertive at times! so when people present me with things not on the diet i can't seem to say no because i don't want people knowing im on a diet. and then ofcourse I screw it up. does anyone have tips for this in a social context? i need all the help i can get to feel confident that i can do this and get my health on track!

Answers:

I am an herbalist, not a dietician, Since you don't want anyone to know you are on a diet, I can recommend a couple things that are not diet related.
Aloe Vera juice
Olive leaf is a powerful healer of microbial infections
Reishi will stop the inflammatory process
Pao d'arco stimulates the immune system.
Take lactobacillus supplements to form a protective lining over the digestive tract.
Take 1,000 to 2,000 mg of caprylic acid daily with meals, make sure to get the time-released or enteric coated so it is released gradually throughout the system
As far a diet goes there are a few recommendations that are really not considered a "diet". Avoid refined sugars, honey, maple syrup and fruit juices.
Avoid anti-biotics, steroids and birth control pills unless medically directed to take them
If you can do any of this it would probably help and should not have much of an effect on your social life.
Drinking Aloe juice is quite normal for most people who are health conscious.
