How does lymphatic massage work? does it do your body any favours or is it just a fad?
Answers:
It works on the basis that the lymphatic system is the bodily system that expels toxins. The toxins are taken round the body in lymph and are deposited in the lymph nodes around the body where they are expelled.
Lymphatic massage uses this principle to massage towards the lymph nodes increasing the rate in which toxins are expelled from the body. I believe there is quite a lot of research to suggest that this does actually work.
