Is hot tea with honey good for a sore thoat?

Answers:

This question is another fine example of ignorance. Sorry, not the question, but the people.

Answer: It depends on the situation.

If your throat is sore due to bacterial infection, then yes, it absolutely does. Even better, gargle SEAsalt in water first, or gargle sodium bicarbonate in water. Both will kill and stage of bacterial infections, because of their pH, and they're safe to swallow if it occurs.

If you drink tea to aid a sore throat, use lightly falvored herbal tea with peppermint. Instead of using honey, if you prefer a sweet tea, use powdered stevia extract or liquid stevia extract with/without grapeseed extract. Honey brings the body to a stage of digestion, which will divert attention away from detoxification and healing.

If your throat is sore and has open wounds, for whatever reason, aloe juice is very good for it. Don't drink TOO much, though, as it's a type of gentle laxative in moderate amounts.

If your throat is sore because of an allergic reaction (which means it's probably also swollen...), eat oranges, drink herbal teas with vitamin C and/or clove bud, and take some MSM ( a slufur compound that reduces swelling VERY well and is all natural and safe; Warning: This is a sulfate compound, for those allergic to them. Test before chugging.) in warm water or hot/warm tea. It's bitter, though, remember. Also, avoid capsule or compact pill form; They're useless. Powdered or crystalized is best.
