(Make up something to get your own attention and put it here...)?!

Question: My girlfriend and I have been together for a little over a year, and I've asked her to marry me. We are now living together, but ever since our relationship got serious, she would get really sad when I left her house to go home, work, etc. Last night, I was getting ready to leave and she started crying, and became very clingy. I had no idea what was going on, so I just kinda stood there, but a few hours later when we went to bed, she told me that since her Mom died and her Dad and older brothers left her when she was younger she's had seperation anxiety, which I completely understand. Is it going to get worse the closer her and I get? How should I comfort her and get her to calm down when she starts to panic?

just assure her everything is ok and that your here for her.....if she wants to be held hold her if she is crying comfort her.....

The only thing you can do is keep coming back when you get off from work.It sounds bad,but allow her to keep tabs on you.IF you say your going to be back by a certain time,BE THERE EARLY.

There is nothing you can say to her,you have to prove it to her.And counseling does sound like a good idea.

Stay or go? Accept or object? Believe or mistrust? Go wild or play safe? All plans and policies are flawed. All have repercussions and implications. We can sit and think about these forever, but should we think or should we act? Right now, you are beginning to feel a little overwhelmed. You feel that you have to make a difficult choice. But actually, you don't. The choice is due to be made for you by various factors beyond your control. You'll feel a whole lot better once this happens.
