Can too much caffeine cause anxiety disorders?!

Question: No.

Can caffeine cause a variety of side-effects in some users? Yes.

Too much caffeine can cause nervousness symptoms in some users, perhaps symptoms which may be viewed as anxiety-like but caffeine is not the cause of any classic anxiety disorder.

Causing a temporary symptom is not the same as causing a disorder.

That's my understanding.

If a person views caffeine as unwanted, then a person can avoid it and choose caffeine-free products.

yeah, i feel so uncomfortable and under pressure, but i drink 5 cups a day - thats probably why

Maybe not a disorder but it certainly can make you anxious.

It can make an pre existing one worse. My standard post follows: See anxiety treatments, at * ezy-build (below) in section 6. Set yourself a fixed limit for worrying about any particular subject, (say; 15 minutes) after which, resolve firmly to refuse to even consider that subject again on that day: realise and accept that to do otherwise would be counterproductive to your mental health, and enjoyment of life. Use the technique for reprogramming negative thoughts and internal monologue (self talk), on pages 2, and 2L, to help you in this, and consider carrying a wide rubber band in your pocket: put it on your wrist; stretch, and release, as a means of reinforcing it, and speeding up the process, re-pocketing it afterwards. Practise one of the relaxation methods on pages 2, 11, 2c, or 2i, daily, and when needed. Also, give the EFT version for use in public places, a good tryout, to see if it helps you (if you like, you can claim to have a headache, as you massage/lightly tap your temples) . Section 53, and pages 2, 2.q and 2.o at * http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris also refer.

I would definitely think so. Only because you can develop an addiction to caffeine, so when you do not have it you can experience withdrawals leading to anxiety disorders.

Yes, Smilin Bob, it can. It has got me all worked up and paranoid many a times, and I freak out a little and don't know what to do with myself. I have paraphrased some texts relating to this specific matter:
Caffeine is a central nervous system stimulant, having the effect of temporarily warding off drowsiness and restoring alertness. Caffeine is the world's most widely consumed psychoactive substance.
Long-term overuse of caffeine can elicit a number of psychiatric disturbances, such as caffeine-induced sleep disorder (causes significant disturbance in sleep) and caffeine-induced anxiety disorder ( i.e. panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, or even phobic symptoms).
This can be severe enough to necessitate clinical attention, and can mimic organic mental disorders, such as panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, or even schizophrenia, a number of medical professionals believe caffeine-intoxicated people are routinely misdiagnosed and unnecessarily medicated when the treatment for caffeine-induced psychosis would simply be to withhold further caffeine.
But yeah, this has happened to me and I cried a lot and had a panic attack and it for lack of a better word sucked.

absolutely! Caffiene is not good for you and is actully very toxic, and cleansing from it can be quite a challenge. I recently quit caffeine altogether and I had 3 days of terrible headaches that even aspirin can't get rid of, but after that I started feeling better than I had in a long time, more relaxed, and about now my natural energy is returning, it's a month later... If you want to check out some cleansing techniques for getting off the caffeine read some free excerpts about cleansing at http://www.ucmeta.org/Pages/Articles/Cle... and this is a course from University of Metaphysical Sciences at http://umsonline.org/coursedescriptions....

I already have an anxiety disorder and if I have more than 2 coffees a day I start to feel quite freaked out and irritated.
