Anorexia??!

Question: Do you think I have anorexia?
I feel fat, although ive gone from 154 pounds to 128 since august (5'5', 15 years old). Ive recently not eaten more than 500 calories a day, and when ive binged ive taken diet pills and laxatives. I hate myself and feel so ill.
secondly, if i have anything, its skimmed milk, will this stop me getting oesteoporosis?
Please help me and dont post anything hurtful x

It's quite possible that you have anorexia...but since you also mentioned binging, diet pills and laxatives...it's more likely to be bulimia. You need to get to a doctor, because you are in the throes of an eating disorder my dear...and NOT just "poor eating habits". 500 calories a day isn't enough to keep your organs running (and remember, that includes your HEART), and that's why you feel ill.

How do I know this? Because I've had anorexia off and on for most of my life (I'm 50), and I recognize the signs, and I've also learned to recognize what causes me to slip back into it. It's something I fall into very easily when my life isn't going my way...it's a control thing (and also self-loathing), and I know I have to monitor myself constantly.

I've been pretty good since my last bout back in 1995, but, I went through a divorce this past year, and sure enough...I got sucked back into the anorexia thing. From March to June I lost 30 pounds, I went from 153 to 122 in that time (I'm 5'9"), and at one point, I literally did not put a solid morsel of food in my mouth for an entire week. I know I can't fight this on my own, so when I "slip"...I get help immediately...(well, almost immediately). It isn't something you can just choose to do or not do on your own...I know that.

You definitely have an eating disorder. Please talk to a counselor or doctor. Osteoporosis is the least of you worries. If you continue your habits you could get heart failure. Please get help so you can get healthy and feel better about yourself.

GO TO A DOCTOR TOMMORROW!
Sorry if that sounds dumb, but no, I am not overexaggerating.
You are still at a healthy weight, I think .I wish I had gone to a doctor earlier, but I countinued till I weighed about 80 pounds. Recovery was fun but it brings HELL and so does Anorexia. 500 is so much to little! Every day I when I was anorexic I said to myself "In my most twisted nightmares, I never imagined anything like this". Please. I am sure you are a person of great value: we all are! Do it for your family too: it hurts them.
To discourage you more, I started having public fits.
Okay. Stay calm but do get help. I did not let myself react and it nearly killed me.
I hope I did not hurt you in any way: well done for asking for helo! Any qustions and you can contact me
Good luck, and all the best!

You do have some kind of disorder for 15 years old and 5'5" you should be at a wieght of like 135-145ish you could go to a councelor or doctor and they can help you with your disorder. and you are NOT fat try not to make yourself feel that way.
