What can you do to get rid of restlessness?!

Question: I feel very restless and my mind is jumbled like I cannot concentrate on anything too deeply or for very long. I don't get this often, I'm usually the opposite. Is it my anxiety? And is there something I can do to rid myself of this problem?

You say you are now a vegetarian . Could it be you are cleansing your body and now have more energy the ever before? redirect that energy into physical exercise., sports some thing to burn off the excess energy.

you might have ADD. try eating right, taking vitamins, etc. really eating correctly might be the source of your problem. look up vegetarian/vegan section.

meat has so many chemicals in it. this is probably why you are racing all the time the chemicals they use in the animal that you eat - you might be absorbing.

I disagree that being a meat eater is that great an effect on such disorders. My own findings and studies show no discernable differences. Sometimes you just have to take a break. It is part of your condition whether you are misdiagnosed or not. If you think you need a second opinion then get one. That's perfectly okay. For now, take a break and try doing absolutely nothing for a little bit but relaxing with a book or word find, maybe a hot or cold drink, not alcohol. A hot bath can work wonders too. I get the racing thing as part of my condition and it's not that different. See my profile. Good luck.

What about excercise? Just going for a walk or swim or lifting weights can often relieve excess energy, plus releasing endorphins that will lighten your mood. Your recent change in diet could be a little extreme and that may take some time for your body to get used to. Getting the vitamins and minerals you need is important as well as protien. You can get protiens from some very good food sources without having to resort to meat.
Good luck on your new eating lifestyle by the way, Made some changs myself a few months ago and it kinda messed with me.
You can find a lot of very good information on Realage.com
