How can I get motivated?!


Question: I have so much to do - a list as long as my arm to get through... all important stuff.... but I am sitting here playing on the internet. How can I get motivated and out of these PJs?
I need some inspiring words to get me up and running.
Please help! ( I don't need to be told off - I am doing that to myself already.... I need to be encouraged...
Does anyone else find getting motivated tricky?
(I'm cold - that doesn't help)

Write a list - if you haven't already and work through each one, as you do tick it off.
you could even add things to the list like:
get in shower
get dressed
put make up on

then tick them off as you achieve them.

ALSO... think about how you will feel when you have done all the things you needed to do.
That sense of satisfaction and peace inside to feel organised and up-to-date!

You will be sooo pleased with yourself when you see what you've achieved, you don;t want to go to bed tonight feeling that you've wasted time playing when you could have been getting sorted.

Just do one thing at a time. Then go back to the internet for a a while.......

I seriously the best thing to get motivated is to switch on your ipod and play your most favorite song. that's how i get motivated

Flick the heating on, have a shower, coffee or tea, get changed. put your coat on, and say to your self in the mirror b4 you leave im going to finish everything i need to do. and give your self an evil stare.

Sounds odd but works

Just hit the sack of some yayo and you will be done with that list in the quickness.

Will it affect you in one year? Five? what are the consequences of you action or inaction? If you can't think get up and refresh your mind. I got the same problem.

yes bc it is soo much easier to js sit there and keep tellin ur self 5 more minutes but when is that gonna end put down the mouse and the soda turn off ur comp and say NOW!! its the moment

I want you to go in that room and look in the mirror and say; "I am somebody dammit!! and I can do what ever I put my mind to!"

Exercise
do a few push ups when you get up in the morning/afternoon (which ever)

Realize that you rule the throne and no one else,.....today is the DAY!!!!!!!!!

I have the same problem. I have to start at the point I am at. Reach out Grab the first thing you see that need to be do,no matter what it is. Complete that task. At the finishing point of that task select the closest thing to you that needs done. Now your on a roll and the blood is flowing you may be able to keep going for a bit.

Switch off internet. Dive in the bath or shower - sing at the top of your voice......... yes go on then Christmas Carol's.

Put on your fave threads and step out in style.

Follow the Nike rule........... just do it.........

You just have to realize that siiting on your but and playing on the computer isn't getting anything done and you have to get off your butt and get it done. Maybe even give your computer or keyboard to a friend or relative for a few days. A few funny things are to set up your keyboard so you can only use it 1 hour every 24 hours. Maybe shock therapy through your keyboard if your on it for over an hour,lol. But really you need to have discipline. This is an addictive thing, I KNOW, I could play online games(when I was driving a truck) for over 24 hours in one sitting! Thats bad! I kicked it and only spend aabout an hour at the most at a time a day sometimes every 2 or 3 days. Anyways it was just a matter of disciplining mself. I'm sorry you are feeling that way! There are a few simple thing to try that might help.

1 Give yourself hope. It sounds like you are hopeless, or feeling like the rewards won't be worth the effort. So change your list until you are looking forward to at least some of it.

2 Move the body!! Just stand up and move-jump, skip, dance, run, anything to get you warmed up and hike up your metabolism. Guaranteed to change your attitude.

3 Feed the body.
Sounds like your blood sugar might be low! Eat something healthy that includes protein, whole grains, milk, and a sweet. Tunafish sandwich on whole wheat bread with a banana & milk is the standard low blood sugar treatment in our house. Then do exactly what you feel like doing for 45 minutes after you eat. Bet you feel a great deal happier, calmer and more motivated.

Remember to God and do the right. Work is worship. Do not be lazy, get up quickly and look your inner side, ask the question what you are? Try to find the answer from your inner. Nothing can be motivated by others, become your own adviser,OK.
