What have you been through, and how has it affected your mind?!

Question: What are the major obstacles you've gone through in your life? Have they caused any psychological impact?
Obstacles=trauma, psychological issues, someone close to you dying when you were young, abuse, if it was really bad then being picked on at school would count., etc.
Also, how old are you?
This is because I've had some obstacles and I'm 13, and I"m wondering if I've been through a lot compared to other people. The age is because I think I've been through a bit more than the average 13-year-old, but for someone who was in their 30s it wouldn't be as suprising.
I'm not even sure if I've been through a lot, lol, so I'm comparing the things I've been through to the things you've been through.

You are wondering if your life is how it should be? You wonder about the future too I'm sure. I had a very traumatic life and by the time I was your age I was about to leave home for an even more traumatic life. I was chronically abused in all three ways and had seen death up close and personal. I even had an attempt made on my life. The sad truth, is that there are many at your age who can say in all honesty that they have been through much more than I have. The important thing here is how it is affecting YOU. Bad is bad and there is no comparison. If something bad has happened to you, I hope that you are able to rise above it (with or without assistance) and perhaps be even stronger for it and able to prevent it to someone you love in the future. If you want to know more about my past, you can click on my profile and browse the back posts of my blog on 360 until you find the first couple of chapters on my biography that I have written in full. Best to you, I welcome your questions.

Obstacles can cause what they call "environmental depression" which is when you're depressed due to the environment and certain situations that you're going through in your life. When you have chronic depression, it's an actual imbalance of chemicals in your brain. Trauma can also cause Post traumatic stress disorder which my cousin actually has from being raped and whatnot. Also, the way you were raised or what happens during your childhood can cause emotional issues (divorce, death of a parent at a young age) I'm not a shrink, but I've been going to one since I was 14. I'm 21 now, so I think I deserve some kind of degree. Don't try to make problems in your head from your bad experiences, learn from it and build maturity and an empathetic attitude. Wallowing in self misery is unrewarding. You have your whole life, leave the past in the past.
