ARGH!! help?!?!


Question: I have a rlly hard time concentrating. It's been getting worse starting from when I was young. My mom is going to talk to my doctor to prescribe medication for me, but until then, it's hell. I always find myself on here or on facebook. I know I should eliminate distractions, but I feel like I physically/mentally can't concentrate! Any other ideas?

you can do it trust me i start to do this technique
you can study for like 2 hours straight then give yourself a break for 1 or half hour and then go back to work .
try to be strict just try and keep on trying many people have it and they still can do it good thing is you know what is your problem just try try try try try

relax, clear your mind , listen to music /sing ... thats what i do

i have the same problem
so i made a schedule
and gave myself time limits

meditate to remove yourself and figure out our priorities.

it may be anxiety. ask your mom to take you to a theripist. i have one!! [= it really does work because you talk to him/her and she asks you questions about it and that gets you to think more about what your doing. you get inside your head!! think about it.

Before you get drugged try a few simple things:
1) Caffene 20 min before studying
2) ADD specia;izing social worker
3) meditating for SHORT periods through the day

Try going places that doesn't have alot of attractions, you'll concentrat better.

I have the same problem. I'm a creative person and get bored easily with something if it's not of real interest to me. If you always find yourself online then do a search for websites that can help you with concentration techniques or even herbal supplements that have been found to help with concentration.

move to nepal, becoming a monk will help you focus. In ten or fifteen years you can return to the real world focused and bald :). Martial arts after school is another option for boosting your focus. Getting beat by a tofu's weapon of choice is a good reason to pay attention.

i have the same problem. You know that sometimes that facebook automatically signs you in when you go to the site. Yah! Well take ur self out of there. Dont delete your account just dont autmatically sign ur self in. This really helps. Also distract ur self with something else like reading abook or a magazine. Doing your homework or putting on make up for the heck of it. Play sports or go out with freinds.

No ADD/ADS and never get prozac or anything like that.
To some degree its necessary to be "easily distracted" because when growing up you need to develope your senses and esp. those senses that havent been triggered enough.

So being distracted can be normal and healthy and might help you learning and staying focussed on your own. Medication will only mess with your natural developement.
It will make you become a dull drone for the incorporates, the same ppl that just need robots as employees, decide who becomes president, and are afraid of ppl that are free.....

well be for i start to do some studying or something i watch or do what ever dis traces me the most for about five min or so then i get it out of my system and then i do whatever i need to do. works for me

It could be your diet, try to stay away from products with caffeine like energy drinks, coffee and sodas they tend to make you lose focus. Also try finding one thing to concretrate on see it that helps.

Try meditation, clear your mind of all the distractions that make it hard for you to concentrate. Maybe you worry too much about things. I used to be the same way, and it was all because i worried about every little thing that was going on. Believe me i know its hard, but don't sweat the small stuff. When you have to do something try and push all the other stuff that's on your mind away. And think only about what your doing at that moment.
