Your state of mind before you go to bed is often related to the type of dreams you have. Try some relaxation techniques before you go to bed, and make your bedroom environment a place where you can feel safe and at peace.
Do the religious items that you have comfort you? Or do you keep them in your room out of a feeling of obligation? If they comfort you, great; if not, maybe you should move them to another room.
You could try playing some soothing, upbeat music quietly in your room when you go to bed. Music can work wonders in improving moods and pushing away negative thoughts.
Or, you could try journalling/blogging about your thoughts/feelings. Sometimes letting them out, be it on paper, the screen, or by speaking them, is all it takes to make them seem "silly" and put them in perspective.

Hope you find something that works for you, and sweet dreams!

just know that nothing bad will come
you honestly have nothing to worry about
however i understand where you're coming from
i used to be freaked out by dumb things...
you'll be fine...just keep remembering that nothing is going to happen to you. no need to waste life worrying over nothing.

chances are that you are probably sleeping on your back. It is common to have scary dreams when you sleep on your back.

Try sleeping on your stomach and you won't have scary dreams.

Also, remember that Jesus would not let anything happen to you as long as you believe.

Ghosts don't exist.

Use cognitive techniques to relabel your fears. For example, instaed of saying to yourself, "i'm scared or i can't" switch the emphasis and say "i'm having one of those anxiety attacks again, but this time i'm going to deal with it." If you feel frightened most of the time and don't have a specific cause.Instead it could be a reluctance on your part to avoid trying something new or meeting new people. You can overcome this worry by thinking less and doing more. Distract yourself from the fear by participating in activities that give you pleasure and reward yourself everytime you block the fear with a positive thought or action........GOOD LUCK

Here's an idea to add in. Read something fantasy or funny before you go to bed and don't sleep the same way you usually do.

Pray, and then tell yourself and your room that there is nothing there that can harm you, nor is anything like that allowed.

"My room is my sanctum, it cannot be defiled".

Good luck and sleep well.
